Hey! I'm Johnny.

I was born and raised in Hong Kong and recently moved to Vancouver to start a new chapter of my life. My journey into the world of coding began with an individual assignment for a public exam that sparked my interest. Crafting a Sudoku solver, which earned me an 'A' grade, was the moment I realized my passion for problem-solving through coding. This newfound passion led me to pursue a degree in computer engineering at university. During my time there, I delved deep into the world of software, learning the fundamentals of computer systems and algorithms. During my placement year, I gained hands-on experience as an intern mobile app developer, setting the stage for my career.

Following graduation, I began my career as an iOS app developer. What truly excited me about this role was the ability to bring ideas to life, crafting real products from scratch. It instilled confidence and a deep sense of accomplishment knowing I was creating something tangible and meaningful. Motivated by a desire for more freedom and control over my work, I chose to become an independent developer. This change allowed me to steer my own path, working on a variety of projects including mobile apps, web development, and backend systems.

Fun Fact: I worked at a ski field in New Zealand.

Over the years, I've collaborated on numerous projects with agencies and prominent brands, each contributing to my growth as a developer. When I'm not immersed in the virtual world, I love exploring the beauty of reality by traveling to different countries. During winter months, you'll often find me carving through pristine snow on the slopes, having exciting time snowboarding.
